Fantastic turnout yesterday for the first European Cryogenics Day held at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire which included participants from Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Switzerland. We were delighted to attend some extremely informative lectures including presentations by top academics and scientists on The Evolution of Cryogenic Organisations in Europe, InK The New Kelvin, The Global Helium Supply, the European Cryogenic Course, and the European Physical Society Low Temperature Section, the Microkelvin Collaboration and the CryoCourse. We also had a tour of the Diamond Light Source which is one of the most advanced scientific facilities in the world.
